Who we are
Subashi & Wildermuth is a small firm of civil trial attorneys concentrating primarily in the defense of individuals, corporations, school districts, insurers, and governmental entities.
We handle a wide variety of litigation including employment law, civil rights, school law, insurance coverage, professional liability, commercial litigation, product liability, nursing homes, employer intentional torts, and insurance defense.
S&W is a goal-oriented organization dedicated to promptly resolving the cases that should be settled and aggressively trying the cases that should be tried.
Our firm holds an AV-rating, the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell.
Based in Dayton, Ohio, we represent clients involved in litigation in most of Ohio’s major cities and counties in both state and federal court.
Why Subashi & Wildermuth
We are passionate about what we do – providing exceptional service in a personalized setting. And that’s something you probably won’t find at one of the large, downtown firms.
We handle our cases from start to finish, through every stage of the litigation process. Whether the case begins in small claims court or ends up in the United States Supreme Court, we have the necessary experience, which we combine with an innovative and practical approach to litigation.
Our attorneys bring a wealth of knowledge to your case, and our trial experience runs the full gamut of litigation. We are diligent, we are persistent, and we are thorough. There is no matter too big or too small for us to handle. Every case deserves specialized, detailed attention.
Possibly the central characteristic of S&W that sets us apart from other law firms is the fact that we do not balk at the opportunity to present our client’s case to a jury. Over the years, we’ve noticed that some firms tremble at the prospect of trial. We are not one of those firms.
That said, we also recognize that the best litigators know when to settle a case for their clients. In those circumstances, we are able to use our reputation and advocacy skills to obtain the best possible settlement. We pride ourselves in producing the best results for our clients, both in and out of the courtroom.

History
When Nick Subashi opened the doors of his own law firm in 1997, his goal was to provide individuals, school districts, governmental entities, insurers, and businesses with personalized, quality civil litigation services. Nick holds an AV-rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has practiced law as a trial attorney in Pennsylvania and Ohio for nearly thirty years. In October 2002, the National Board of Trial Advocacy certified Nick as a Civil Trial Advocate. He now spends a great deal of time sharing his wealth of experience and knowledge with the younger attorneys in his firm.
Brian Wildermuth joined the practice in June of 2000, having previously worked with Nick at another local law firm. In January 2004, Brian Wildermuth became a shareholder of the firm, and the firm is now known as Subashi & Wildermuth. Together, Nick and Brian have forged a firm focused on client-service in the ever-changing and complex legal world. With two associates who have been at the firm for many years, two associates who have worked for state court judges, and even a former plaintiff’s attorney, S&W is able to provide a broad range of client services.
